We are all human and from time to time even the most committed and disciplined of us suffer from a lack of motivation.
 
So, how do we ignore the "don't bother today" devil on our left shoulder and listen to the "you know it's good for you and you'll feel so much better afterwards" angel on our right?!
 
Well firstly sometimes in fact the devil on the left is telling you that you are overtraining and not exercising that day, or at least cross training at a very low intensity is in fact the best course of action. To recognise the symptoms of overtraining select Overtraining Symptoms and Preventative Action
 
It may however be simply one of those days and a true lack of motivation. If so, then start by closing your eyes and imaging achieving one or more of the goals you have set yourself. Imagine that feeling of satisfaction and success at achieving your end goal which always, but always, makes all the hard work seem worthwhile. 
 
Remember that if it was always easy, it would not be so rewarding.
 
Try to "Think Less, Do More" or, as Nike would say, "Just Do It"!
